Electrical wiring (U.S.) - Electrical wiring in general refers to conductors used to carry electricity and their accessories. General aspects of electrical wiring as used to provide power in or to buildings and structures, commonly referred to as building wiring, are described in Electrical wiring.

Electrical wiring (UK) - The accepted standard for electrical wiring in the UK is the IEE wiring regulations, formally known as BS 7671:2004 and colloquially referred to as "the regs". These are created by a non-governmental body and in themselves are only recommended practice.
Coil tap - A coil tap is a wiring feature found on some electrical transformers, inductors and coil pickups, all of which are sets of wire coils. The coil tap(s) are points in a wire coil where a conductive patch has been exposed (usually on a loop of wire that extends out of the main coil body).

Thermocouples rely on this discovery, the so-called Seebeck effect. This book also includes valuable information on ampacity, motors, controllers, circuits, overload protection, raceways, wiring, voltage, lighting, and more. This book features simplified illustrations and wiring diagrams, and numerous exercises including critical thinking skills and basic automotive math. Written by an ASE Master technician and teacher, this simplified approach provides the novice technician with a solid foundation in electron theory and movement, direct-current series circuits, parallel circuits, series-parallel circuits, voltage line drops, rotating machinery fundamentals, and more! and features current industry terminology, contemporary photographs of commonly used electrical equipment, and updated circuit diagrams throughout. Using a conversational tone, this book provides simplified explanations of how automotive electricity and electronics.
